Trilobite is an extinct group of marine arthropods that resemble horseshoe crabs and are related to modern crsutáceos and insects. Very recently paleontologists have unearthed fossils of a giant Trilobite that lived in ancient oceans of what is now Australia approximately 450 million years ago. The discovery of Redlichia rex trilobite gave CollectA the idea to create the corresponding figure. The creature disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian period, about 252 million years ago.
